Good Luck Chris.

On Sunday we will be taking our son Chris up to Wolverhampton University where he will be studying for a BA (Hons) in 'War Studies' (military history) for the next three years. As many of you know Chris, and have seen him grow from the little lad in Starters being herded around around rings by a you...

Re: That's all folks!

Thanks Lorna. I never know with Bryn, despite the vet's instructions he has been running around like a puppy since Sunday! We will do agility somewhere next year but the decision on another dog has been made and it won't be happening. For a number of reasons I have decided that after Bryn and Fly en...

That's all folks!

That's it, we are done! Due to injury Bryn didn't get to finish his season at Prestbury, well not competetively anyway, so the Team Dash Final was our last this year. Trainers always say finish on a high so that will do for us, 4th place ain't bad is it? With Chris off to Uni on Sunday I will finall...

Re: Prestbury Park...

Probably one of the best signed shows I've been to, first 'Agility' sign appeared just as I thought abought reaching for the road map. Pity Bryn was out of action with a sprained wrist, he still enjoyed telling everyone he was there, and barking out his encouragement to the other dogs. I was a bit k...

Happy Birthday Flynntastic Firefly

Fly is 8 years old today, so Happy Birthday Fly, and to his two sisters who we know on the circuit, Jay and Flight. There are others apparently but we have not met as far as we know. A lovely character and still very much a cuddle pup, he was supposed to be my second dog. Still, now Chris is off to ...

Re: Team Dash Finals

A video of our team at the Dash Final, me and my mate Bryn are pair 3, my son Chris with Fly are first off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9QLSaD7-Cw&feature=player_embedded Watching that I can see my old boy working at it, measuring jumps etc and not as fast as he used to be. Th...

Re: Major UK Agility Events

Hi Kaitlyn. Most shows are annual so I assume you are thinking of the larger shows of which there are many. Shows like Dogs in Need will give you a feel for British agility where enjoyment is the priority. The Kennel Club International show is huge and rather more competitive as it has National Qua...

Re: Bioflow Collars?

Early days yet I know, but we reckon we can see a difference in Bryn. He isn't so slow and stiff in the mornings, and has even beaten me home from evening walks when I would usually have to wait for him, or walk slowly. I won't get too excited just yet but we'll see how things develop. I reckon it h...

Team Dash Finals

First I would like to say a massive :thanks: to Heather Noddle for taking this concept to the stage it is at today. I know she is stepping back from it now, and hope that someone else picks up the baton and runs it for future years. The fun part about this concept is that although it is a 'Dash' the...

Re: Bioflow Collars?

Well the new collar has arrived and is being worn as I type.
Chris phoned me at work to say he has to keep removing Bryn from the metal cased appliances arond the house!
Will it do the job? Time will tell but I have my fingers crossed as well.

Re: Bioflow Collars?

I have ordered one now so I'll let you know if it works or not.
Next step is the coat!
If they keep the old boy on the right there comfortable for a few more years it will be worth it.

Re: Bioflow Collars?

Thanks for the replies. Bryn is basically a 12 1/2 year old WSD who loves his agility but is slowing down and has started measuring his jumps. Anything that will allow him to continue comfortably will be a welcome tool. He is on YUMOVE which I think helps too. I think a visit to the website I looked...

Bioflow Collars?

It was suggested to me at the weekend that a Bioflow collar would be beneficial for Bryn, and looking at their website it seems that they do what it says on the packet. Has anyone here used them and found them effective? It looks as though we might be going to the dark side too with a Back on Trac...

As long as there is an adult to supervise the POD ring (in compliance with KC rules).

I'm glad you didn't say 'responsible adult' Mandy, so rare these days the ring wouldn't be open :D
