Re: CSJ dog food

I would have thought if you contacted them they might send you a sample so you can see the size and find out if he'll eat it. The Cavie I run would eat anything, any size, so maybe he's not typical!

Re: Disabled camping spots

Maybe the thing to do is to ring the show sec just a week or so before the show. She will know who is allocating the camping spots and it's possibly less likely to be forgotten than if sent in with an entry form weeks before. A week or so before the show would be way too late for many shows, I'...

Re: What a joke!!! Insurance Again

petplan are very good until they cock up then they are a nightmare. They refuse to give details of complaints department, don't return calls, blatantly lie to you, ignore letters sent by recorded delivery and claim not to have received them. I had to go to the ombudsman just to get the complaints d...

Re: What a joke!!! Insurance Again

I've just insured my new little girl with NFU. £18.58 per month for a small crossbreed; cover £4000 per condition per year renewed annually, complementary treatments included as standard, excess £50. I can't help feel that whatever you choose you could end up losing out at renewal time, but was det...

Re: KC Agility Show - Catering

oh the coffee's and hot chocolates at Kookaburra Coffee however was amazing, I always happy when they are at a show !! I just found the food disappointing quality wise, but I agree the people were nice and everything was clean and tidy. However I thought the food last year was good. I don't rely ...

Re: KC Agility Show - Catering

I think they were simply overwhelmed, maybe they just didn't realise how busy it would be? I never rely on catering at shows for anything other than an egg and bacon bap unless I'm b & b-ing it, many of them can't even offer proper coffee :duh: It was very much appreciated to have a lunch vou...

Re: Help with Colitis

I also was thinking it could simply be stress if she has just been re-homed. Tree barks powder from Dorwest is brilliant stuff, used to use it the last couple of years on all my oldie's meals, and always carry it in my first aid kit.

Re: does green lipped mussel work?

I imagine the answer is, it might! A traditional combination of glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM might work better, and yes, some dogs are allergic to shellfish. I changed my dogs a while ago onto Riaflex, which contains very high quantities of glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM. Was very impressed w...

Re: My dog ran into the next ring?!

Depending where you are there may be other unaffiliated shows as well as UKA, which will probably be smaller. At UKA shows you can do any run NFC with a non-squeaky toy. However, you really want your dog to think doing agility with you is the best thing since minced tripe, so I too reckon you should...

Re: Changing ownership and grade

Hmmm sorry not sure either but I thought if a dog had got to G3 it couldn't go backwards...may be worth checking with the KC  Yes, that's my impression too - it's the dog that belongs in a certain grade. I would imagine that on transfer of ownership the dog remains grade 3 and the new owner...

Re: A very confused owner.

I didn't know the difference - interesting. I suppose theoretically, you could have 2 pups from one litter, one registered with the kc by its breeder - therefore it's a BC, whereas the other may not be registered and has to be called a working sheepdog. Have I got that right? Seems a bit strange...
